Meet Our Dentists Dr. Alexander Man
Dr. Alex Man earned his Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Today, he offers various cosmetic, general, and restorative dentistry services. During his time attending UBC, Dr. Man was the recipient of many awards. Two of the most prestigious recognitions he received included the Sunstar G.U.M. Award for Clinical Proficiency and CIHR Studentship Award.
Sunstar G.U.M. Award for Clinical Proficiency
The Sunstar G.U.M. Award for Clinical Proficiency recognizes a student who has shown a high degree of clinical proficiency when educating patients about the link between oral health problems and overall health (for example, the link between gum disease and the increased risk of heart disease and stroke). Dr. Man received this award when he graduated from UBC.
CIHR Studentship Award
Dr. Man earned the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Award for his research on gingival healing, which ranked second nationally. He is proud to have gained this knowledge and understanding of periodontal care and how it affects overall oral health.
Dr. Henry Ma
Dr. Henry Ma earned his DMD from the University of British Columbia School of Dentistry in 2003. Today, he is the owner of Apex Dental Fort St. John, where he provides all types of dental care to patients. Since graduating from UBC, Dr. Ma has gained nearly 20 years of hands-on experience. He worked as a dental associate for another practice before opening his first practice in 2008. He is also affiliated with the following organizations:

Dental Crowns

Dental Fillings
A dental filling restores the health of a tooth with a cavity. Our dentist will remove the decaying portion of your natural tooth and then fill the hole that remains. We typically use composite (white) filling materials because they blend in with the surrounding structure of the teeth and look natural. However, our dentist can place amalgam (silver) fillings as an alternative if you so choose.
Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin porcelain shells that fit over your existing teeth to create a more uniform smile. Porcelain veneers can conceal chips, cracks, discoloration, minor misalignment, and other aesthetic flaws to enhance your appearance. During the veneers procedure, a portion of your enamel must be removed to create space for the veneer to be attached, which makes this treatment irreversible.
